Auger Bits for fast drilling of hardwood and softwood sleepers and timbers
Two shank options:-
- Standard narrow hexagonal shank
- Bance specification broad round shank with half-moon cut-out
Bance specification Auger Bits are tapered to prevent jamming. Scotch pattern; double-cutting edge; gimlet point; heavy-duty twist; to suit Bance Auger Attachment or 3-jaw chuck
Two Auger Attachment options:-
- Standard for hexagonal shank Auger Bits
- Bance specification for broad round shank Auger Bits
Bance specification Auger Attachment has a heavy-duty design for use with the Bance Impact Wrench. It is extremely robust and has only one moving part – the revolving stainless steel pin that locks in the Auger Bit. The face of the Attachment acts as a depth stop. When the correct length Auger Bit is used, the depth prevents the cutting edges drilling through the bottom of the sleeper and being damaged by ballast.
